7 tips to take care of your mental health during Christmas

Is it necessary to take care of your mental health during Christmas?

Everyone will have a different opinion on this, but I think it is necessary, indeed.

For some, this care will be easy, whilst for others, difficult.

Today, I have some tips for you that will help you during these winter celebrations.

7 tips for taking care of your mental health during Christmas:

  1. Treat yourself with respect and dignity.
  2. If you need it, set “holiday boundaries” for others and yourself, and stick to them.
  3. Plan your time and activities so that you have fun with it.
  4. Meet with others with the intention of spending a quality time.
  5. Have realistic expectations for your family and holiday celebrations.
  6. Do not overeat and do not abuse alcohol, it also affects your mood.
  7. Allow yourself a break from everything if your stress levels start to rise alarmingly.

Simple advice is the most effective. I have experienced these many times personally and in my practice.
