About the therapist
Beata Tyka
I work as a counsellor and hypnotherapist mainly out of my heart’s passion and need, and because helping others give me a sense of satisfaction and fulfilment. I am here to help you understand your own emotional states and have satisfying relationships, also with yourself. I trust that getting to know and understand the mechanisms of your behaviour will allow you, if you are willing to change, to make a change in your life.
The aim of my work is to support you when you ask for talking therapy in difficult moments of your life.
In therapy, you are my partner. I make every effort to ensure that sessions with me take place in an atmosphere of respect, honesty, openness, tolerance and security.
I am happy to help you solve your problems or identify difficulties that you face on the way to your desired goal. In my work, I focus on an individual approach to clients, following them in their experiences in an atmosphere of confidentiality.
In working with you, one of the most important things for me will be building a therapeutic relationship based on trust, a sense of security and respect. I see the therapeutic relationship as a link of endless creative inspiration and a vehicle for mental healing.
I believe that every human being, you too, have the ability to self-regulate mentally and physically, and counselling and hypnotherapy are two of the ways that help you gain this ability back.
What I consider important in my work is: following what you bring to the therapeutic process, your resources and possibilities, believing that change is possible, talking about solutions creates solutions.
I offer professional counselling help and hypnotherapy for children, adolescents and adults who feel the need to contact a counsellor or hypnotherapist due to their life situation (their own or their relatives).
In my counselling practice I work in an integrative approach and I rely on therapies with are scientifically proven for their effectiveness, selecting them to the individual needs of a person:
– Client focused therapy
– Systemic Therapy
– Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT),
– Transactional analysis
– Psychodynamic therapy.
In my hypnotherapeutic practice, I work with the Milton Erickson method.
I have gained my professional experience, among others, working with Relate – The Relationship People (Relate offers counselling services for every type of relationship nationwide), Cruse Bereavement Care (Cruse offers support, advice and information to people who experience complicated bereavement), working in my private practice, working with organizations in Scunthorpe, Doncaster, York and working with the University Campus North Lincolnshire in Scunthorpe.
For many years I was a volunteer in therapeutic organizations.
I regularly expand my knowledge and experience by participating in numerous specialist trainings, courses and workshops.By constantly improving my qualifications, I provide valuable services.
At work, I follow the principles of the hypnotherapist’s code of ethics and follow the code of ethics of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
I subject my work to regular supervision by certified supervisors.
