“I can’t afford therapy” When self-care feels out of reach

Is it really about money?

Many people hesitate to start counselling because they believe therapy is a luxury, something for “later,” when life is more stable. Yet, what if the very thing that could bring stability, balance, and peace is therapy itself? Sometimes, the real question isn’t “Can I afford therapy?” but “Can I afford to keep struggling alone?”

Counselling – an investment in emotional wellbeing

Counselling is not just about conversation. It is about understanding your emotions, recognising patterns, and finding better ways to cope. Emotional strain often affects our work, sleep, and relationships. and, in the long run, can be more costly than seeking help.

At Someone To Talk To, we believe therapy should be accessible and flexible. We offer sessions in both Polish and English, online and in person, and we collaborate with counselling trainees who provide sessions at a lower cost.

How we work: with warmth and understanding

Each session is a gentle space where you can speak freely, without pressure or judgement. We use an integrative, humanistic approach, combining counselling, life coaching, and emotional education to help you reconnect with your inner calm and confidence.

You don’t have to commit to a long process right away – sometimes even one conversation can bring a sense of relief and direction.

Why it matters

Because choosing therapy is choosing yourself. It’s not about luxury, it’s about healing, growing, and learning to live with greater balance. You deserve that care.

I help Polish and other people in the UK find peace, growth, and a sense of belonging.
