Hello and welcome. My name is Beata and I am the founder of Someone to Talk To. I am a counsellor, hypnotherapist, and supervisor with practical experience since 2012 in accompanying people through their personal growth and life changes.

Title: Integrative Counsellor

I offer a warm, supportive and confidential space where you can explore whatever feels important to you at your own pace. My approach is integrative, with a strong person-centred grounding, which means I place your experience at the heart of our work together. Where helpful, I can also introduce relevant techniques and perspectives in response to your individual needs.

My professional background brings together counselling, education, creativity and the arts. I hold a First Class Honours degree in Counselling, a PGCE, and a Master’s degree in Mythical Story and Character Archetypes. I am a member of the BACP and hold full professional insurance.

Before and alongside my counselling work, I have spent many years working within mental health systems as a creative and training practitioner. I have also worked professionally as a scriptwriter and actor across theatre, television and film. This has given me a particular understanding of creative lives, performance environments, and the pressures that can come with them.

I regularly work with young adults, especially those training or working in the performing arts. I am particularly interested in issues relating to gender identity, sexuality, confidence, resilience and self-esteem, and in supporting people to develop a stronger, kinder relationship with themselves.

Languages: English

Specialisms: Young adults, creative & performing arts professionals, identity & sexuality, confidence & resilience, self-esteem.

Format: Online sessions & Occasionally In-person

Title: A year 5 Integrative Counselling (BA Hons).

Sometimes we all feel anxious, stuck, overwhelmed and life can weigh us down.

Maybe you cannot rest because your thoughts will not allow it. You can change this. It’s okay to talk. I am here to listen. I am here for you.

Sometimes we just require space and time. Or maybe you need to be heard? Somebody alongside you on this journey.

I know, it is not easy to find a counsellor, you might find it daunting. Where do you start? Who can help? Do you really need support? If you’re asking yourself these questions, you’ve already started your journey to understanding yourself.

I will listen and give you time to think and feel, without being judged.

Having time to think can lead you to an understanding of your thoughts and feelings and how they impact your life. Counselling could help you to identify any changes you wish to make and to set goals to achieve those changes. This can lead to building self-esteem, confidence and a better understanding of yourself.

If you feel the time is right for you now, I can offer daytime or evening appointments to suit you. A space where you can talk through your feelings and thoughts, at your own pace.

I offer a comfortable and a quiet environment where adults, young people and children (7+) can feel understood, heard and work towards meaningful change. We will work together with the aim of building a trusted, transparent and confidential relationship. You will have the freedom to work through the areas of your life that might feel unsettled, unresolved or that you have a desire to change.

We are all different. I respect, value and recognise these differences with an inclusive service.

If the idea of a face-to-face conversation is too much for you right now, or if you’d feel more comfortable, I also offer a video and/or remote service.

All enquiries are welcome and valued, please feel free to contact me.

I am here for when you decide to reach out.

I qualified Level 4 in Integrative Counselling BA (Hons) working toward my diploma. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

Languages: Fluent, both spoken and written, in 3 languages. These are English, Russian and Belarusian. She also confidently communicate verbally in Polish and Ukrainian.
